The customer should not need to understand rendering technology before contacting MPC Plastering. Here are the main systems — send us photos and we'll recommend the right one.

Acrylic Render
Reinforced thin-coat acrylic — flexible, crack-resistant, wide colour range.

Silicone Render
Highly water-repellent, vapour-permeable thin-coat — low maintenance and self-cleaning.

Monocouche Render
Through-coloured single-coat render — consistent colour right through the body.

Sand & Cement Render
Traditional sand and cement — robust and economical for the right substrate.

VIPEQ Sprayed Cork
Thermal corkspray — insulation and finish in one breathable sprayed coating.
Thin-Coat Systems
Silicone / Thin-Coat Rendering
Silicone render is a highly water-repellent, vapour-permeable thin-coat system. It's self-cleaning, low-maintenance and available in a wide colour range — ideal for exposed Mayo and western seaboard properties.
- Highly water-repellent — rain runs off rather than soaking in
- Vapour-permeable — lets the wall breathe, prevents trapped moisture
- Self-cleaning surface — dirt washes off with rainfall
- Wide colour range with consistent through-colour finish
- Applied over reinforced basecoat with fibreglass mesh

Through-Colour Render
Monocouche Rendering
Monocouche is a through-coloured single-coat render — the colour runs right through the body of the render, so chips and scratches don't show a different colour underneath. A durable, low-maintenance choice for both residential and commercial work.

- Through-coloured — colour is consistent throughout the render body
- Single-coat application — efficient for larger facades
- Scraped or textured finish options
- Durable and weather-resistant for Irish conditions
- No painting required — colour is permanent
Traditional Render
Sand & Cement Rendering
Traditional sand and cement render is robust and economical for the right substrate. It's the classic Irish external finish — strong, weatherproof and well-suited to blockwork walls that don't need a flexible thin-coat system.
- Robust and hard-wearing — suited to masonry and blockwork
- Economical for larger wall areas
- Can be finished smooth, scraped or textured
- Painted or coloured finish applied after curing
- Not suitable for flexible substrates or high-movement walls

Render Repairs
Cracked or failing render
Cracked, hollow or blown render is usually a substrate or movement problem. We assess the cause, prepare properly, reinforce with mesh and finish with a flexible system designed to last.

- Full assessment of the cause — not just a surface patch
- Removal of hollow, blown or failed render
- Reinforcement with fibreglass mesh at stress points
- Flexible finishing system to accommodate movement
- Colour-matched to surrounding render where possible
ICF Rendering
Rendering for ICF construction
Insulated concrete formwork flexes differently to blockwork. It needs reinforced basecoats, fibreglass mesh and manufacturer-approved flexible render systems designed for the substrate.
- Manufacturer-approved systems for ICF substrates
- Reinforced basecoat with full fibreglass mesh coverage
- Flexible finish coats to accommodate thermal movement
- Compatible with EPS insulation thickness
- Suitable for new-build ICF homes across the West of Ireland
